History:

Neo-confucianism is a blend of three eastern philosophies - Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. Philosophers around this time, blended ideas, ethics and principles to create a philosophy, belief system and code of ethics and behaviour that have become embedded into eastern culture, which still exists today.

Yi Hwang was the equivalent of Socrates of his time.
